Competition
Platforms: Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch (Cross-play enabled)
Team Size: 5-player teams (5v5)
Game Mode: Role Queue (1 Tank, 2 Damage, 2 Support)
Match Structure: Best of 3 maps (Regular Season) | Best of 5 (State Finals)
Players
Team Size: 5-10 players
Eligibility: Players must be registered with school's official coach/advisor
Single Competition: One roster per player per MiHSEF competition
Players may be substituted between maps while maintaining role requirements.
Teams must provide minimum 5 players at match start.
Game forfeiture if under minimum mid-game.
Pre-Match
Teams: Home team creates lobby + handles map selection + invites Away team captain. Settings:
- Game Mode: Presets -> Competitive
- Fill Empty Slots: Off
- Allow Spectators: Custom (Coaches only)
- Pause Game on Player Disconnect: On
Gameplay
- Map 1: Control (Neutral map decided by MiHSEF weekly schedule)
- Map 2: Hybrid (Loser of Map 1 picks map, Winner picks side)
- Map 3: Escort (Loser of Map 2 picks map, Winner picks side)
- Map 4 (Tiebreaker): Push (Loser of Map 3 picks map, Winner picks side)
Stoppage of Play
Valid Reasons: Player Disconnect, Server Crash, Technical Issues. Rules: 10-minute limit per match total. Resume only when both teams confirm. If a player cannot return within 10 minutes, the team must continue 4v5 or forfeit.
