Competition​
Game Format
Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Team Size: 4-player teams (4v4)
Game Mode: Competitive Modes (Splat Zones, Tower Control, Rainmaker, Clam Blitz)
Match Structure: Best of 5 games (Varies by week/stage)
Players​
Roster Requirements
Team Size: 4-8 players (4 starters, up to 4 subs)
Eligibility: Players must be registered with school's official coach/advisor
Single Competition: One roster per player per MiHSEF competition
Pre-Match​
Lobby Setup (Home Team Designated)
Mode: Private Battle
Settings:
- Primary Ability Only: Off (Standard Competitive)
- Secondary Ability: On
- Spectating: Coaches Only
Map & Mode Selection:
- Follow the MiHSEF weekly schedule for the specific game modes and maps.
Gameplay​
Gear and Weapon Rules
- All weapons and gear available in the current version of Splatoon 3 are permitted unless explicitly banned by MiHSEF for being bugged.
- Players may change weapons and gear between games.
Stoppage of Play​
Disconnection Policy
- If a player disconnects within the first 30 seconds of a match AND before any objective progress is made, the game should be restarted.
- Otherwise, the game must be played out. The disconnected player can rejoin for the next game in the series.
