Competition​

Game Format

Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (Cross-play enabled)

Format: 1v1

Match Structure: Best of 3 games

Players​

Roster Requirements

Team Size: 1-3 players (1 starter, up to 2 subs)
Eligibility: Players must be registered with school's official coach/advisor
Single Competition: One roster per player per MiHSEF competition

Pre-Match​

Lobby Setup (Home Team Designated)

Game Mode: Play a Friend
Skill Level: All-Pro
Quarter Length: 5 Minutes
Fatigue: On
Injuries: Off
Even Teams: On

Instructions:

  1. Home team adds Away team as a friend.
  2. Home team sends invite via "Play a Friend".
  3. Verify settings before kickoff.

Gameplay​

Mercy Rule

A game is considered a "Mercy Rule" win if a player leads by 21 points at any point in the 4th quarter. The trailing player may choose to concede or finish the match.

Stoppage of Play​

Disconnection Policy

If a player disconnects:

  1. The remaining time and score must be recorded.
  2. Players restart and play out the remaining time (estimated by quarters).
  3. The scores from both segments are added together.
